Description

The objectives of this research was to provide an overview of the data center market. Specifically, the general and the uninterruptable power supply requirements, the generalities of the precision air conditioning systems, data center’s efficiency levels, and to determine the most important power equipment suppliers. The predominant type of servers are 2U. Almost half of the data centers are located on the first floor. The largest proportion of medium and large data centers use a fuel cell UPS system, while small data centers prefer a lithium ion UPS system. The most popularly used PAC system is free cooling. Three out of ten data centers have a PAC system that uses 501-1000 kW.
