This quantitative research service estimates the ICT spending by 14 industries in 26 European countries. This analysis provides a holistic top down view on which industries already have a high ICT spending pattern, which countries have the highest ICT spending, and which industries are prepared for smart transformation towards a connected society. There is a significant amount of investment by the information & communications industry as it prepares for high speed fibre broadband and LTE networks. Other industries with most to gain in business efficiencies from an ICT enabled industry transformation are also expected to have a higher ICT spending pattern. Such industries are energy & utilities, manufacturing, and transportation.
