Mobile connections have surpassed fixed/land line connections in a relatively short amount of time (less than a decade). Mobile connections continue to increase, not just from users which did not previously have a cellular device, but users now adopting multiple devices. Additionally, users with fixed communications may be likely to switch to mobile communications (losing their fixed communications in the process), while the opposite is not true. It is unlikely for any mobile communications users to cancel their service unless they are simply moving to a different company.
