Analysis of the Global Network Access Control (NAC) Market

In 2013, network access control (NAC) entered a “hot” market stage. Frost & Sullivan estimates that NAC global revenues grew 40.5% year-over-year. Continuing strong demand for NAC functionality is expected over the next five years. The primary reason is that NAC is an essential last line of defense against cyber-attackers that see network-connecting endpoints as a soft target. For vendors that have taken NAC from first- to second-generation, deep visibility into evidence of compromise and risk, and policy enforcement options in both in pre- and post-admission have advanced dramatically. Tight and out-of-the-box integration with other network security technologies have elevated NAC’s position in a holistic network security defense strategy.
