An analysis of customer awareness and willingness to pay more for powertrain features has been carried out in the study. This study also contains customer perception on present and alternative fuels such as petrol/gasoline, diesel, hybrids, biodiesel, LPG, LNG, CNG, H2, BTL and GTL and on powertrain factors such as acceleration, power, torque, boosting technologies, downsized engines and displacement. This study includes customer feedback on environmental pollution and the effect of exhaust gases such as CO, CO2, PM, HCs, and NOx.
