Description

The Middle-East and African countries are likely to see modest growth during the first half of 2015 with GDP growth of around 4 per cent, which is lower than the region’s potential. Sluggish global recovery, weak hydrocarbon prices, and several structural instabilities in the domestic market are likely to dampen growth. However, macroeconomic imbalances and an uncertain reform agenda are likely to prevent rapid domestic and foreign investment growth in the first two quarters of 2015.
