This year’s connected home survey begins with an examination of demand for the connected home environment. The reason for this is that, unlike previous surveys, Stratecast is no longer seeking to determine the likely resonance of a hypothetical connected home with consumers, but begins with the observation that the connected home is actually happening. From this, the dynamics underlying demand are examined, and an assessment of the market’s capability to deliver connected home solutions is undertaken.
