Description

This Stratecast NPSS study is the third in a series of updates, with the original study conducted in 2000 and the second in 2004. If any one thing can be said about developments from 2000-2004 and 2004-2007, it is interesting what has changed and what has remained the same. Network Equipment Manufacturers' (NEMs) professional services organizations were growing unchecked just prior to 2000, and by the end of 2002 were at their peak where employee headcount was concerned. Unfortunately, Nortel Networks would soon become the most publicized for both growing and shrinking the fastest during the CLEC boom and bust days. The good news for the larger Nortel organization is they navigated the roughest of waters and was and is a survivor.
