Description

This study analyses the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in a multimodal city eTransport system in Europe. It highlights the importance of the various ICT building blocks necessary to enable such a system. It also provides an analysis of opportunities for the various stakeholders in smart transportation. In the appendix, a collection of EU-funded projects is highlighted to illustrate crossovers with smart energy and smart cities. The base year is 2012.
