This study examines the impact of hybrid automobiles on the U.S. motors market and provides forecasts over the period 2002 to 2012. For the purposes of this study, the market has been divided into three product segments micro, mild and full hybrid vehicles. Belt driven starters and crankshaft mounted starters are examined under the micro hybrid product segment. Permanent magnet and asynchronous motors are examined under the mild and full hybrid product segments.
