This research service presents the existing and the emerging trends, drivers and challenges that impact the robotics industry. There is also an analysis of the key applications as well as stakeholders for robotics related to maintenance and safety. The industry is observed to be growing at a rapid pace with extensive R&D activities at the university as well as industry level. There is extensive funding support from the government and other venture capitalists which further provides a source of motivation for R&D.
