Description
This report defines a wireless WAN as fixed terrestrial, broadband equipment that delivers high-speed high-capacity digital communications between two separate sites, which run over a wireless medium. Wireless WAN systems consist of either a radio frequency (RF) or freespace optics (FO) device that enables physically separated networks to communicate with one another. This report forecasts revenues from 2001 to 2007. Revenues reflect sales of units from vendors who wholly and/or partially manufacture their own wireless devices. For the purposes of this study, units are calculated for all wireless devices covering all of the unlicensed, licensed, and freespace optics equipment in operation.
