Description

A Ubiquitous Sensor Network (USN) is a very large network of wirelessly connected intelligent sensors that work ubiquitously to realize a pervasive computing/sensing system. Several applications of USN include remote disaster management, eco-system monitoring, landmine detection, and networked ambient intelligence (AmI). Various layers of USN include the sensor network, the access network, the wireless network infrastructure, the middleware, and the application platform. This research service assesses the key features and innovations pertaining to USN with respect to AmI, and evaluates stakeholder activities through all the layers of USN using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
