Video conferencing vendors continue to post weak year–over–year (Y/Y) results, though Q3 2012 bounced back in terms of sequential revenue and unit growth. The ongoing disruption in video conferencing markets, resulting from a shift to lower-priced endpoints and mobile devices as well as software-based solutions, is expected to continue to exert pressure on the top line. Major vendors are re–evaluating product portfolios and strategies to accommodate changing market needs.
