On September 2, 2008, Google released their branded web browser “Chrome”. The ambitious project has allowed Google to emphasize a number of new web browser enhancements. Google’s focus on becoming both a data center and application provider for the enterprise raises many security questions – not just from the perspective of outsourced versus in-house security – but also from the affect on the enterprise patching cycle.
