Growing demand for electricity in the country, rising environmental awareness, rampant depletion of coal reserves, energy generation options, and aggressive National Solar Mission goals have pushed India toward alternate and efficient sources of energy in the country.
Therefore, the Government has decided to generate a substantial portion of the energy from renewable sources, especially from solar power which will help to make BIPV popular, giving rise to a potential market for the solar power industry. Hence, solar energy is gaining momentum in India in order to mitigate the erratic and poor quality of power supply.
