In this analysis, Stratecast looks at how IT decision-makers choose a cloud service provider, based on the 2014 Frost & Sullivan Cloud User Survey. In April 2014, Frost & Sullivan conducted its fifth annual Cloud User Survey. The Web-based survey was administered to 401 IT decision-makers representing a range of company sizes and industries. Results have been published in multiple Stratecast reports. We analyze responses to derive actual versus stated preferences, categorizing decision criteria by importance, for both public and private cloud services. We look at the cloud providers in use by our respondents, and consider what can be learned from their overall satisfaction levels.
