Description

The drumbeat has been constant: unless cloud providers can overcome the security concerns, whether those concerns are real or perceived, cloud adoption will be stymied. Recent data from a Stratecast survey of 301 U.S.-based IT decision makers, at the surface, does not paint a promising picture. Averages, however, can mask subtleties within a data set. This is true with our survey data. As we peeled back the onion in this SPIE, we uncovered a subset of IT decision makers that did not hold such a dire view on the security risks associated with cloud computing.
