While the United States will remain in the WiMAX limelight for the near future, we believe that as a region Asia still holds the best prospects for the technology in terms of subscriber uptake and the number of network deployments. Asia is home to the entire gamut of market maturity levels from emerging markets like Bangladesh to the supersaturated countries such as South Korea that will translate into a wide variety of business models deployed. WiMAX still faces a number of challenges in the region ranging from regulation to weak operator support to high CPE prices but we still see significant growth in WiMAX services, particularly as emerging markets try to close the digital divide through a mix of government and operator initiatives.
