Over 20 new SUV name plates across both luxury and non-luxury segments are expected to be introduced by 2022. By 2022, SUVs are expected to contribute over 42% of the overall passenger vehicles in the US by selling over 7.4 million units. The aim of this study is to highlight the sales trend of SUVs going forward and understand the factors socio-economic and political affecting SUV sales and their impact in the US.
