This research will address the World Managed Security Service (MSS) market. Specifically included in this research are firms aptly named Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP), who remotely monitor and manage Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), firewalls, and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and other security technologies such as anti-virus, content filtering, authentication, and application security from their Secure Operating Center (SOC) or Network Operating Center (NOC). Also included in this research are vulnerability scanning services, which are a semi-automated and automated assessments of new vulnerabilities as they are discovered.
