SSL VPN, Internet Protocol Security (IPsec), and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) are three basic Internet Protocols (IP). “Secure Socket Layer Virtual Private Network” (SSL VPN) technologies were developed by the network security industries as an alternative to IPsec VPN. Indeed, not only are IPsec VPN appliances expensive, problematic to small devices and lack flexibility, they also require the installation of a software on the client device. The main difference thus rests on the fact that IPsec VPNs are fixed whereas SSL VPNs are mobile.
