Healthcare systems across Europe face a number of challenges that call for a rapid change in the delivery of healthcare services. Mobile network operators can play a significant role in the transformation of healthcare. Although the mobile health (mHealth) market is still nascent, we can observe some interesting initiatives, also in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). This study in the first part gives an overview of mobile health solutions and the market situation in CEE. In the second section, a drivers and restraints analysis is conducted, alongside an estimation of mobile health revenue model for CEE. This is followed by a detailed listing of the mHealth solutions offered by the region’s major mobile operators.
