This research service is an outline of the research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E); procurement; operations and maintenance (O&M); and services spending and contract activity for the U.S. DoD cloud computing market. Cloud computing is defined by DoD as a scalable IT infrastructure network that is provided as a service to multiple users to support sharing, storing, processing, and transporting information on demand. This study indicates which aspects of cloud computing products and services spending the DoD is emphasizing so that firms can invest in these growth areas. The base year for financial spending is 2010, and the market forecast is from 2011 to 2016.
