The Mozambican hydro potential has been estimated at about 12 500MW. It is estimated that approximately one third of this potential can be explored at a relatively low cost. hence, Mozambican government should develop the electricity industry potential in order to increase the availability of electricity to the population at large in order enhance environmental sustainability development. The aim of this study is to explore the Mozambican electricity industry, from electricity generation to distribution and the regulatory institutions. It also assess investment opportunities potential presented by all types of feedstocks in this country.
