Description

Total endpoint revenues reached $10.7 million in Australia during 2005, representing a significant decline from 2004. While many vendors have reported steady unit growth, revenues were impacted by prices falling and the majority of business being limited to customer churn. Average pricing continued to fall by around 15 percent year-on-year, and by as much as 50 percent in some product instances, as vendors strived to remain competitive and stimulate adoption, particularly in relation to rival web and audio conferencing systems. However, stronger growth is expected at the end of the forecast period, as enterprise IP networks mature and converged communications become more widespread.
