Research was carried out on the ultrasound markets in four key Sub-Saharan African countries, namely South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and Tanzania. A thorough PESTLe analysis was carried out for each country allowing for an accurate evaluation of the external factors impacting the ultrasound markets. The ultrasound market size for each country was established and revenues forecast for the period 2006 to 2012. A competitive analysis was also carried out allowing for the determination of market shares for the year 2006. Lastly key success factors and strategic recommendations have been listed for the ultrasound market in each of South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and Tanzania.
