The research objective is to measure the current use and future decision-making behavior toward mobile enterprise applications, including mobile asset tracking, sales force automation, workforce management, and wireless email solutions. Interest in mobile software applications for employees remains strong. Most businesses have implemented between 1 to 10 apps. Top adoption drivers focus on anticipated improvements in employee productivity and business process efficiencies. Data security continues to be the strongest barrier to adoption, indicating a need for vendors and channels to address with sales prospects. About 9 out of 10 users are very or somewhat satisfied with the 4 mobile enterprise applications highlighted in this study.
