Description

Oncology diagnosis and biomarker technology is a multidisciplinary field within healthcare technologies. Imaging forms an essential part of cancer clinical protocols and is able to furnish morphological, structural, metabolic and functional information. Biomedical imaging is one of the main pillars of oncology imaging and cancer care. Modern medical technology offers a wide range of imaging methods to imaging specialists. Well known methods used for the detection of cancer are ultrasound (US), computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and mammography, the latter being used specifically to detect breast cancer. This research service (RS) is a study on the different technologies used in oncology diagnosis and biomarker imaging technology.
