Managed WAN optimization services is a new breed of managed services, delivered by service providers, that ensures seamless delivery of business applications across the WAN (wide area network). Though  it is still a niche segment, the high growth in WAN optimization appliances and increasing penetration  rates have started creating awareness on WAN optimization as a service. In 2008 and 2009, several service providers started forging partnerships with equipment vendors to roll out this service to their network customers. This study looks at the key market trends for this services across Asia Pacific.
