This report explains that despite an apparent pull-back in market enthusiasm for a full-fledged, autonomous, closed loop SON solution—which includes solution suppliers removing or downplaying the term SON from their discussions—both suppliers and CSPs are still moving inexorably toward SON by way of their continuous pursuit of optimization and automation wherever they can find it. This report will also provide a glimpse, by company, of what the major suppliers are presently explaining to the industry concerning how their present solution offerings are leading to SON vision enablement.
