The Frost Radar™ for the video gaming headset industry analyzes providers of audio devices specifically designed for gaming purposes that aim to deliver an enhanced gaming experience.

This Frost Radar™ plots 11 selected providers based on 10 Growth and Innovation criteria comprising quantitative and qualitative factors.

The vertical Growth Index is a measure of a company’s growth performance and track record, along with its ability to develop and execute a fully aligned growth strategy and vision, a robust growth pipeline system, and effective sales and marketing strategies. For growth performance and track record, Frost & Sullivan considered each company’s year-end revenue in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Those metrics were added to three other qualitative metrics—growth pipeline, vision and strategy, and sales and marketing—to determine the positioning of each company on the vertical axis. The horizontal Innovation Index is a measure of a company’s ability to develop products/features/services/solutions (with a clear understanding of disruptive Megatrends) that are globally applicable, able to evolve and expand to serve multiple markets, and aligned to customers’ changing needs.

The inclusion criteria for gaming headset providers are:

• Vendors must provide headsets that deliver essential gaming functionalities, such as high-quality audio and microphone
• Vendors must provide headsets that are specifically designed and advertised toward gaming use cases (excludes headsets targeting other use cases, such as everyday listening, that may also be used for gaming)
• Vendors must provide headsets that work with at least one major gaming platform, such as consoles (Xbox, PlayStation), PCs, and mobile devices
• Vendors must have proven sales in more than one country
• Vendors must have commercial presence in the industry for at least one year
• Vendors must achieve annual revenue exceeding $10 million as of CY2023

Frost & Sullivan examines various companies in an industry. Those selected for further analysis based on their leadership are benchmarked across 10 Growth and Innovation criteria to unveil their position on the Frost Radar™. This analysis offers competitive profiles of each company on the Frost Radar™, considering their merits and the opportunities that best fit those merits.
