The aim of this study is to analyze the patterns, dynamics, and trends of Indian mobility, in selected Indian cities, and their impact on the automotive industry. The study covers the mobility patterns across India. The analysis is based on various aspects like modal shift, pollution, road safety, and other key transport performance indicators. The study reveals that the poorly developed public transportation systems in major Indian cities are exerting pressure on the road infrastructure and commuters. It also forecasts that CO2 emissions on Indian roads are likely to quadruple by 2035, reaching a value of 1,212 million tonnes.
