Cryogenic distillation, which is also known as low temperature distillation, is the most common and competitive method for air separation for achieving high quality nitrogen, oxygen, and other valuable gaseous components that have high product value in a wide range of industry sectors including medical, industrial, oil field and military. Recently, cryogenic distillation is also witnessing increasing acceptance in natural gas separation; mainly for nitrogen, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and acid gas removal.
