Description

Frost & Sullivan has classified the various active safety systems into three distinct groups based on system functionality:Vehicle Stability systems, Driver Warning and information systems. and Collision avoidance systems.
The manufacturer-level total revenues for the active safety systems covered in this study are estimated to be $2,066.3 million in 2003 and forecast growing to $4,541.3 million in 2010 at a compound annual growth rate of 11.9 percent. Significant growth in unit shipment volumes is expected of a few key safety systems. Unit system prices are however expected to decline for all the systems in different quantum's, due to technology and productivity improvements, as well as economies of scale as volumes grow
