The Brazilian Chemical industry has a major goal to be positioned among the top 5 countries globally, also presenting trade surplus and being the global leader in ‘green chemistry’. In order to achieve this ambitious goal, the Brazilian Association of the Chemical Industry (ABIQUIM) projects investments around US$ 16 billion until 2020 in green chemicals’ manufacturing and R&D activities.
