Description

This report examines many of the current technologies being sought after in the wholesale data services market. By examining what is being offered and the overall current and future states of the market, the industry may be better assessed. The service technologies and architectures that will be focused on in this study are ATM, Frame Relay, Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN), Synchronous Optical Network (SONET), and Virtual Private Networks (VPN). Also, a brief look will be given to how new technologies such as MPLS are helping to create integrative, new solutions for aging networks.
