Most if not all major Tier 1 and many Tier 2+ network operators around the world have thrown their triple play (TP) hats in the ring. Cable companies have been offering voice service along with video for some time, and in the case of cable VoIP in the U.S., Time Warner's subscribership is catching up with the most famous U.S. VoIP provider - Vonage. Past argument was it was easier for cable companies to add voice than telephone companies to add video, but now with both sectors adding capabilities to the triple play mix - the competition, offerings, quality of combined services, and end-user experiences are becoming much more speculative and challenging.
