Unified Messaging in Latin America is still in nascent stages. Investments in 2003 are expected to be minimal, even lower than in 2001-2002 as in the case of service provider solutions. Nonetheless, long term potential does exist in the region, especially in specific vertical markets and certain types of professionals that can benefit from its value. And with corporate voice mail, email, mobile telephony use, etc., continuing to increase over time the enterprise sector will be posed to have a strong adoption of this type of platform, a process that could obviously accelerate given better economic performances by Latin American markets.
