As hybrid configurations evolve, the cloud IaaS market competitive landscape has witnessed some critical changes. The market has consolidated around the big four cloud service providers. A number of providers that entered the public IaaS market over the past decade have exited or scaled back efforts on public IaaS, to focus on a hybrid and/or managed cloud strategy. While the cloud IaaS market is growing in double digits, most competitors find it extremely challenging to match the scale and pace at which AWS rolls out IaaS offerings.
This study analyzes the current IaaS market, and forecasts revenue growth from 2016-2021. The analysis is segmented by Compute as a Service and Storage as a Service, and public and hosted private cloud.
