This Special Edition issue of Vital Signs, released May 17, 2013, presents our review of the 2013 HIMSS Conference, recently held in New Orleans, LA. At HIMSS, various heath IT market participants come together to gain a comprehensive overview of the state of the health IT industry from the perspective of numerous and diverse stakeholders, including technology vendors, healthcare providers, academia, government and health policy leadership, and media.
