Description

The purpose of this report is to provide a concise and updated paper on the international legislation and research initiatives involving stem cells. The report outlines both adult and embryonic/fetal stem cells in order to provide a comparison of the two technologies which compete for the same sources of funding. In addition, the report provides an overview of the disease applications that may be treated by stem cells in the future, along with their economic cost where possible. The major players and their activities and current clinical research are also discussed.
