The government is expected to encourage private-sector participation in the delivery of healthcare services between 2012 and 2015. Healthcare information systems is given priority in the Ninth Development Plan (2012-2015). Healthcare reforms, and increased investment in the modernization of healthcare facilities are likely to increase the demand for pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.
