Frost & Sullivan believes that the continued deployments in 2010 have established that the Femtocell market is real and that it is driven by some sound drivers. That said, the business case regarding Femtocell while not expected to remain a significant challenge through the forecast period, is expected to introduce some delay as some of the early adopters continue to deploy Femtocells. Frost & Sullivan expects to see early 4th generation LTE Femtocell prototypes in 2011 with deployments forecasted to begin mid-to-late 2012. Dual-mode, 3G and LTE, prototypes are expected to be demonstrated in 2012 with deployments expected in 2013 time-frame.
