On July 18, 2006, Amdocs announced the acquisition of Cramer Systems for $375 million. Cramer Systems will become the new service activation division within Amdocs. Indications are that Cramer management and staff will remain intact in the UK. The acquisition is intended to extend the Amdocs product and service offerings, not cut costs or eliminate competition.
