The clinical capabilities of interventional radiology (IR) have developed faster than any other area of medicine. Along with parallel technology evolution in computer technology, medical physics and developments in endovascular catheter technology, interventional radiologists are slowing replacing major open surgeries with minimally invasive and less risky procedures. These developments have therefore provided new potential and opportunities to clinicians to address complications in patient associated in open surgeries. This research service therefore looks at analysing and assessing the IR technology trends and provides a technology roadmap for stakeholders across this industry.
