European Managed SD-WAN services market revenue is expected to exceed $1.31 billion in 2024, with a year-over-year (YoY) growth of 31.3%. The market is forecast to increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20.6% from 2023 to 2028. By 2028, revenue is estimated to reach $2.55 billion, driven mainly by accelerated digital transformation, more complex network environments, and massive amounts of traffic generated from the cloud. Overall, Europe ranks second in customer adoption, just behind North America.

In the past year, SD-WAN deployments have increased significantly in Europe as businesses look to simplify their network architecture and gain flexibility in a distributed workforce and application environment. SD-WAN continues to attract the attention of enterprises eager to leverage the benefits offered by the technology, including faster deployment of branch sites, cost savings from using private and public networks, optimized cloud connectivity, and application-aware routing.

SD-WAN technologies also facilitate the convergence of networks and security to meet rapidly changing business needs. SD-WAN is the first step toward secure access service edge—the integration of SD-WAN with a range of security functionality including secure web gateway, zero trust network access, cloud access security broker, and firewall-as-a-service. All these functionalities can be managed via software, simplifying deployments, optimizing network costs, and improving application performance.
