Carrier managed network services (MNS) refer to network services offered and managed by a carrier (telecommunications) company, which cover the implementation and support of network equipment, applications, and services. Businesses increasingly adopt advanced technologies from different vendors to improve business processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency. However, integrating these solutions from multiple vendors brings management complexity. To overcome this, businesses seek to engage with an MNS provider as they have a complete suite of network services, skilled IT teams to design and implement networks, partner ecosystem (including software-defined network [SDN], equipment, and security), and experience managing network infrastructure.

Frost & Sullivan sees carrier MNS providers investing and pursuing partnerships to offer private wireless networks and satellite connectivity to differentiate their solutions. Integrating AI/ML in network operations is also top-of-mind for carriers.

This Frost Radar™ analysis offers a perspective on industry trends and assesses 11 leading global carrier MNS providers based on their market presence, MNS portfolios, growth performance, and ability to drive visionary innovation. The other top carrier MNS providers not represented in this report had declined interest in participating in this report or did not respond to interview requests.

Frost & Sullivan analyzes numerous companies in an industry. Those selected for further analysis based on their leadership or other distinctions are benchmarked across 10 Growth and Innovation criteria to reveal their position on the Frost Radar™. The publication presents competitive profiles of each company on the Frost Radar™, considering their strengths and the opportunities that best fit those strengths.
