The value of the landing gear systems shipset delivered to these new aircraft is the highest; hence, the market value is also the highest of the 3 streams. The retrofit market relies on the number of aircraft set to undergo full landing gear overhauls throughout the forecast period, and the aftermarket segment depends on the total number of aircraft in service. The share of revenue streams stands at 58.5% for the linefit segment, 20.5% for the retrofit segment, and 21% for the aftermarket segment.
The landing gear systems industry has seen only a few technological innovations, largely due to regulatory complexities, including long approval timelines and expensive R&D regimes.
