The supply of adequate safe drinking water for the population is a key concern for governments and administrative bodies across the globe. In 2019, the Indian government launched Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), a project aimed at providing a functional household tap water connection (FHTC) to every rural household in the country by 2024. As part of this mission, state governments in the country are expected to ensure an adequate supply of safe water to rural households in their respective states. The success of this mission will require enhanced resource optimization and the transparency of system functionality through the real-time monitoring of the water supply systems at the village, district, state, and central levels. This will, in turn, require the implementation of smart water quality & quantity monitoring systems across the country. The total size of the smart water quality & quantity monitoring solutions market in India is estimated to be $4.41 billion. The study categorizes the market into the Internet of Things (IoT) hardware, communications services, and operation & maintenance (O&M) services segments.
